Did you know that the price of
electricity provided by Texas Power
& Light Company to the average
residential customer is actually less
today than it was in 1955?
It'S true, and it's also true that the
average customer does pay more
dollars for electric service now than
twenty years ago. The price is down,
but the cost is up.
The reason? Well, in 1974 the
average residential customer used
more than six times the amount of
electricity used in 1955.
How many ways have you increased
your use of electricity in the past
twenty years? Have you added one or
more window-type air conditioning
units or maybe a complete cooling
and heating system? Are you
enjoying the convenience of a range,
dishwasher, clothes washer, dryer or
other major electric appliances you
didn’t have in 1955?
Compare the cost of your electric
service with the many comforts and
conveniences it makes possible. Isn't
it one of today's really good buys?

MORRIS, m. (AP) — An 11-
month-old infant missing since
June 28 from North Little Rock,
Ark., was reunited with his
mother here Thursday.
Authorities said the event
capped an investigation begun
when the child's alleged abduc-
tor was killed in a car crash
near here Tuesday
Annie Bernice Christie, 21,
the child's mother, said that
when she heard the baby had
been found, she and her hus-
band drove all night from Ar-
kansas to get him. "From the
description, his birthmark and
all, I just knew he was mine,"
she said.
Mrs. Christie and her hus-
band Fred, a 35-year-old cab
driver, arrived with 10 photo-
gratis of the child, a baby book
and records of birth.
Sheriff Bill Button of Grundy
County, west of Chicago, turned
Roger Allen over to the weeping
mother. Button called it “a
happy ending to the weirdest •
case I’ve ever handled."
He said it started when a
woman identified as Joan Hed-
ger was killed in an automobile
crash Tuesday
