Poteet, The Strawberry Capitol
of Texas, will become one of the
biggest cities in South Texas this
weekend as an estimated 100,000
people pour into the community to
attend the 45th Annual 1992 Poteet
Strawberry Festival.
The 1992 Berry Bash shifts into
high gear Friday, April 10, at 5 p.m.
Admission for adults will be $2 each
and all children under the age of 10
will be admitted free of charge.

The Kendall County Horticulture
Committee has two programs
planned on pecan and grape
grafting. The grape grafting clinic
will be held Saturday, April 11, from
9 a.m. to 12 noon at the Garden of
Eden Nursery located on IH 10
South of Boerne. The program is
co-sponsored with the Bexar County
Horticulture Committee.

united in holy matrimony on
Saturday, February 22, 1992, at 1
p.m.
Dr. David J. McNitzky officiated
in the country home of Mrs. Edith
Bowman. Approximately 60 family
and friends attended the ceremony
and reception hosted by Mrs.
Bowman.
Ms. Julie Simpson of Boerne,
daughter of the bride, and Mark A.

Flaggert-Burton Pecan Orchard in
Fair Oaks a pecan grafting clinic and
tour of the orchard will be held. The
clinic will begin at 10 a.m. and
conclude at 12 noon.
