Feldman noted that the associates bring a
wealth of experience and commitment to
their assignments. She has designated a
major portfolio for each of them, beginning
with Kaufman, who will chair Major Gifts.
Having already initiated the successful
FUNdseekers CLUB, an innovative frequent
fundraiser/point accumulation program,
Merfish and Mincberg will oversee further
Worker Development. Robinson will con-
tinue to preside over Operation Exodus as
that effort to raise funds for resettling Soviet
Jews moves onto a second line of the regular
campaign.
With her top leadership in ptace and re-
cruitment of the 1991 Campaign Cabinet
completed (see back page ad), Feldman ob-
served the enthusiastic response by the
community for this year's endeavor. She
promised that every effort would be made
to raise the money needed tafund vital serv-
ices locally, nationally and overseas. For in-
formation, contact Gary Weinstein at the
phone solicitors to join together on nine occasions, apart
from Super Week/Super Sunday, to reach their neighbors
and raise the funds'necessary for vital Jewish services at
home and abroad.
Associate chairman Linda Block commented that each
member of this special team felt a real sense of satisfaction
at the success of their endeavor. In addition to the 2,000

As part of the international "Decade of Dedication" celebration of the life and legacy
of Golda Meir, the Golda Meir Commemorative Award will be conferred upon Saranne
Kosberg, Helen Laufman and Ellen Penner "for Distinguished Service to the Communi-
ty, the Jewish People and the State of Israel".
Arlen Specter, United States senator from Pennsylvania, will be the evening's guest
speaker. Specter spearheaded the adoption into law of the Terrorist Prosecution Act,
which put the full weight of the United States Government behind the struggle against
international terrorism. .
"Our near-capacity crowd reflects the widespread desire to honor three such ex-
traordinary women, each of whom has been a dynamic force in our community. In
honoring Saranne Kosberg, Helen Laufman and Ellen Penner, we properly hono.

JJ Bubba's Bunch", a new telephone division designed

(UJC), raised over $175,000 at its first two phone-
a-thons on Oct. 29 and 31. Announcing the results,
Chairman Bubba Silberstein also reported that over $18,000
had been pledged to Operation Exodus.
Silberstein explained that "Bubba's Bunch" had been'
created to provide an opportunity for experienced tele-
