L.6s steamer BONITA, W. Daniels mas-
ter, having been docked and put in complete or-
der, has resumed her regular trips in the Red
River trade, and will continue running so long as
the water will permit. The Bonita was built
expressly for a Red River packet, is very staunch,
of light draught, and new throughout. Her offi-
cers will pay particular personal attention to all
business entrusted to the boat, and make use of
every effort to give satisfaction. For freight or
passage, having fine accommodations, apply on

New Orleans and Red River Ten Day
PASSENGER PACKET.
-e THE splendid, fast running steamboat
LeSDUKE, SAnr'r Applegate, Master, hav-
ing resumed her regular ten day trips between
New Orleans and Shreveyort, touching at Grand
Bayou, Campte, Grand Ecore, Alexandria, and
all intermediate landings, will leave Shreveport
every ten days, on the arrival of the stages. The
DUKE was built expressly for a passenger packet,
and is the largest and finest boat that ever enter-
ed Red River.1 Her cabins are unusually commo-
dious, furnished in the.most magnificent manner,
and for comfort, good accommodations and speed
she is unsurpassed. Captain Applegate solicits a
continuance of the liberal patronage heretofore
extended to him, and pledges himself that noth-
ing shall be wanting on his part to give satisfac-
tion. For freight or passage, apply on board.

ends 31st Auprust next, and that unless their re-
ports are filed in the office of the Clerk of the
county Court, on or before the 20th day of Sep-
tembr next, they will be laid over for considera-
tion and allowance at the end of the next scholas-
ic year. Reports must be accompanied with a
certificate by the school examiners, of the compe-
tency of the teacher, and must not embrace any
teaching after the end of the scholastic year.
