and well selected stock of Drugs, Medicines, Chem-

as well as Stationery, and every other article ap-
pertaining to a well conducted and well balanced
Drug business ; which they “have removed to their
old stand, on the west side of the square ; where
they will be constantly receiving during the win
ter and spring fresh arrivals for their wholesale,
as well as the innumerable details of a retail and-
prescription business.
Remindful of past favors, we return thanks to
our old customers, hoping and expecting to see,
and to furnish them all in due time with every-
thing in our line that their necessities demand.

that Paints, Oils, and Glass are henceforward
strictly CASH articles, for we have to pay cash for

VXTE ARE NOW RECEIVING in part our new Stock for 1860, and will continue to receive until
V% we shall have by far the most varied and extensive stock that we have ever brought to this
market. We have been in this trade for the last fifteen years., and by industry and close applica-
tion have arrived at what we think a tolerably correct idea of the wants of our eustomers and
friends in Eastern Texas, (for very many of them have traded with our house from its very begin-
ning to the present) ; and now possessing increased means and facilities for supplying our customers
and friends with nearly every wish, we think that we do not hazard very much ‘in saying that we
CAN and WILL furnish all those who are disposed to favor us with their patronage, with good
GOODS, at as low prices, and on as liberal terms, as any other house in Marshall, Jefferson
Shreveport, or any other place this side of New Orleans—and it is yet to be decided whether or not
we cannot and will not do as well for the Planter as he can do in New Orleans, considering travelling
expenses,_ time, interest, etc., etc We here pledge ourselves to our old customers and friends, to-
gether with all the new ones to be had in a fair and honorhble way, to sell them their Goods on as
good terms as any house this side of New Orleans.
We return our most sincere thanks to our old friends and the public generally, for the long and
liberal patronage hererofore bestowed upon our house, and hope, by an honorable and liberal course,
still to merit a continuance of the same, promising to spare no efforts to please all, both in quality
and price. We try to keep polite and attentive Clerks, and charge nothing for showing our Goods
Call and examine for yourselves, and if we‘do not sell you on such terms as will give you entire
satisfaction, it must be our misfortune. °
