Judges for the contest were
Father Eamon Lester of La-
Salle High School, Father Jphn,
Orr of Our Lady of Grace
Church, Mary Jo Quinn of In-
carnate Word College, and
Mrs. Joseph Quinn, assistant
director, Santa Rosa Medical
Center.
More than 100 people wit-
nessed these fine presenta-
tions. The participating clubs
were St. ouis, Castroville,
and Our Lady of Guadalupe.
Between plays, a quartet of
singers-Gay ion Bou be 1, Mike
Sharp, Teddy Stecker, Cynthia
Haegelin—entertained the au-
dience.
The cast of the winning
play includes Eva Dominguez,
Gregory Pruneda, Santa Ar-
cos, Stella Dominguez, Noemi
Rodriguez, Mary Pedroza, and
Nelda Moirin. They will com-
pete in the Archdiocesan
Festival of Plays April 4.
Their play is a silent comedy
and the director is David
Hem by, a student at St. Louis
and a member of Our Lady of
Guadalupe CYO. The play
was written by the members
themselves. ’

val Saturday, April 10, will be
coronation of Queen Peggy
Nester, -who will- be escorted
by King Gene Decock.
' The carnival will be at
Panther Stadium from 5:30 to
10 p.m., with admission to the
> grounds 10 cents for children,
6 to 12, and 25 cents for a-
dulta.
Hot tamales, cake, sand-
wiches, coffee, and soda wa-
ter will be sold by Medina
'Valley Parent-Teacher’s Assn,
from 5 to 10 p.m.
Games will be sponsored by
classes of the elementary,
junior high, and senior high
schools, and the Medina val-
ley Rand Boosters from 5:30
to 9 p.m.
The proceeds from the car-
nival will be used to purchase
fans for the senior high and
elementary schools, and chairs
for the junior high school.

Christian Doctrine met Mon-
day, March 29, following the
high school religion classes.
The meeting was called to
order by the President, Eugene
Suehs. Don Debner read the
minutes. Mrs. Alfred Mangold

mote the work of the CCD.
