school As a parent, I didn’t want my
first grader going to school w ith sixth
graders and Sanger’s neat, how they
have every couple grades broke into
one building That seems to be a real
advantage to people with kids.”
There’s also the issue of
Sanger’s country atmosphere, she
noted "It welcomes people really
well and people like that They like
hometown, w here every body knows
everybody and it's a sate place for
their kids As long as I’ve lived in
Sanger, I don't think Ive ever had to
lock my doors li s just a sale place
to raise a family.

Hailing from a family of build-
ers, Stephen's been building and de-
veloping in this area since about
1993, subcontracting out the work
singlehandedly. "I do it all myself,
put all the roads down, subcontract
the houses out I like seeing a project
from the start to the finish, and it’s
getting harder to find land that de-
velopers will go in and do," he said
"A builder’s pretty hard-pressed to
find lots "
His previous project was Coun-
try View, a 30-home project north of
Bolivar over a year ago, in partner-
ship with Johnny Looper. There’s
also, Stephen added, the possibility
of another 20-lot project in the
Bolivar area though nothing is fi-

well fought game
The Sanger Bobcats lost 5-3 in
Saturday's well played game. Ty Scott
scored 2 goals with Ryan Skenesky scor-
ing 1 in the second half. Jacob Faries.
Walker Pyron and Hunter Bennett played
goalie Nick Ramsey played forward with
Hunter Stephens and Aaron Garza.
Although the team lost. Coach lohn
Scott was impressed with how his team
played - "although we lost the game, the
team played hard and worked well to-
gether"
Ty Scott was last weeks Good
Sportsman’s Award winner with Jacob
Faries being named this weeks winner.
The Sanger Storm
play another great
game Saturday
Natalie Ramsey had a strong offen-
sive showing scoring her first goal of the
season. Ashlyn Hammons also played
great on offense making several shots on
goal.
Again, Lesley Trevino and Tristin Martin
were awesome in the defense, stopping
many scoring attempts.
“The girls play each week with lots
of heart and we could not be more proud
of them," Coach Melynda Hammons.
Dixie Kicks
back on top
The Sanger Dixie Kicks soccer team
continued their winning season with two
more impressive victories Saturday. The
team showed great poise and heart when
facing the only team that has given them
a loss this season Sanger started the day
with a 5-2 victory in their first game, and
a dominating 6-0 victory in their second
game.
TriMen Lawson scored her first goal
of the season along with several near goal
shots in both games. Kierstin Bradley led
the team in scoring with her seven goals
total in both games. Savannah Cryer
dominated the back with her never end-
ine defensive stands that was frustrating
the opponents. Brooklyn Lawson contin-
ued her bard play with a goal in the first
