CREATING BRECKENRIDGE INDEPENDENT SCHOOL
DISTRICT IN STEPHENS COUNTY.
S. B. No. 288.] CHAPTER 19.
An Act creating and incorporating the Breckenridge Independent School
District in Stephens County, Texas, including the present Breckenridge
Independent School District; defining its metes and bounds; placing
said Breckenridge Independent School District under the operation of
the General Laws of Texas; providing a board of school trustees for
the management and control of the schools thereof; providing that the
board of trustees of the present Breckenridge Independent School District
shall continue to act as such until their successors are elected
and qualified as provided by the General Laws of Texas; providing
that all outstanding indebtedness, including bonds of the present
Breckinridge Independent School District, shall not be invalidated by
this Act, and declaring an emergency.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Texas:
SECTION 1. That the Breckenridge Independent School
District of Stephens County, Texas, including the present
Breckenridge Independent School District, be established and
created to contain the territory described as follows:
Beginning at the north east corner of T. E. thence west with the south line of said
survey 2067 to the S. W. corner of same and the N. E. corner
of the T. E. thence south with the East
line of said T. E. thence west with the South line of said survey 2077
and the south line of T. E. and the N. E. corner of T. E. thence south with the east lines of
surveys 3366, 3365, 3364, 3363 to S. E. corner of survey 3363,
T. E. thence west with south lines of
surveys 3363, 3362, 3371, 3389, 3390 to southwest corner of
survey 3390, T. E. thence north to north
west corner of survey 3390; thence west with north line of survey
3391, T. E. thence north
with west line of east half of survey 23, Lunatic Asylum lands
to northwest corner of northeast quarter of said survey 23;
thence north with west line of southeast quarter of section 20,
Lunatic Asylum lands to northwest corner of southeast quarter
of survey No. 20; thence west with north line of southwest
quarter of section 20 and center line of section 19 to the N. W.
corner of the S. W. quarter of survey 19 Lunatic Asylum
lands; thence north with the west line of said section 19 to
the S. W. corner of section 15, Lunatic Asylum lands; thence
north with the west line of said section 15 to the N. W. corner of
the S. W. 1/4 of said section 15, and the S. E. corner of the N. E.
