John E. Barta At
Eagle Lake July 7th
John E. Barta, age 61 years,
passed away in the Laughlin Hos-
pital in Eagle Lak8 on Mondax, -
July 5. Death was attributed to-
a heart ailment.
Mr. Barta was born on February
15, 1893 at Praha, as the son of
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Barta. He was
united in marriage to Frances Ja-
lufka in Schulenburg: in 1914.
The family lived in Lavaca and
Fayette County until 1931 when
they moved to Wharton County in
the Bonus area where he had en-
gaged in farming until his death.
He is survived by his widow,
। four sons, Jerome of Bonus, John-
nie of Wharton, Melvin of Dai-
setta and Ervin of Lackland AFB,
San Antonio; and four daughters,
,Mrs. Viola Wrobleski, Mrs. Elnora
Pulpan and Mrs. Ida Brandt of
Houston and Mrs. Bernice Jack-
son of Angleton; and five grand-
children. ' . <
Funeral services were held in
I Eagle Lake Wednesday afternoon
from the Mills-Bauer Funeral
Home with Rev. D. R. Allison of
| the Methodist Church officiating.
|| Interment was in the Lakeside ,
