Since August a Mattoon 111. man
Las been in Camp Travis without ever
seeing anyone from home. He answers
thp extended invitation of a Mattoon
civilian. He also wants to know folks
from Marion and Christopher Hl. A
civilian^ who has just returned from
a visit to Indiana has answered the
requests of the Marion and Covington
soldiers. A Cleveland Ohio man who
has been in service thirteen months
answers the invitation from that'eity.
He has met no Cleveland folks since
he joined the army.

A Camp Stanley man of Bedford.
Ind. who is in the base hospital at Fort
Sam Houston for a slight operation
asked for friends from his home. The
index shows that another Bedford man
is an attache in the hospital. It is
quite possible that these two soldier
are boyhood friends. There is also a
Bedford civilian on the list.
For the first time in month* a man
from Hartford Conn. asks for home
folks. He is in the Field Artillery at
Camp Travis. Au answer has arrived
for the Williamsburg. Va. soldier. The
aoldier from Berea College Berea Ky.
again asks for friends. Through an er-
.gor his request was transferred to the
civilian list. He hopes that there are
