As you know, I am running for the position of Sheriff of Kendall County as a Republican Write-In Candidate. If elected, I
am committed to quality law enforcement that will better serve the people. Having acted as Chief Deputy for some time,
I have been intimately involved with the total operation of the Department, including field operations, personnel man-
agement, officer training, and financial management. Over the last several months there have been many extraneous
issues raised. However, in my opinion, the real issues in this campaign are:
1. Experience
I have had over six years in Kendall County law enforcement in positions ranging from jailer,
jail administrator, patrolman, investigator to the current position of Chief Deputy.
2. Training
I have partciipate in over 1,000 hours of training sanctioned by the Texas Commission of
Law Enforcement and Standards (TECLOSE).
3, Fiscal Management
I have prepared the budget for the Kendall County Sheriff’s Department as well as budgets for
other enterprises in excess of $7,000,000,000.
4. The concerns of the citizens of Kendall County, including the dangers of drugs and alcohol to our youth,
the security of our senior citizens, officer training and family violence.
Look for my specific suggestions in these areas in the next few issues of this newspaper.
