More than 2,300 kids and 230 adults toured the Boerne fire station where fire-
fighters offered important but fun safety lessons as part of Fire Prevention Week.
Students from Fabra Elementary, First Baptist Church pre-school, St. Albert’s
pre-school, Live Oak pre-school , Boerne Head Start, Vanguard Christian
Academy and Boerne Mom’s Club, participated in the events.
Firefighters taught the kids how to dial 911 for help, roll and cover their faces
if their clothes catch on fire, crawl through a smoke-filled room and several other
important tips.
