Twilight Wedding Is Read
For Couple in Hamlin Home
HAMLIN, June 7.—Geneva Albritton, member of a pioneer family ol
Jones county, and Leon Thurman of Anson were married at twilight
Saturday at the Hamlin home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Al-
britton.
Standing under an archway between the living and dining rooms, the
couple repeated vows read by the Rev. H. E East, pastor of First Baptist
- ehurch of Hamlin. Arch and pedestals at the sides were twined with
vines and Queen Anne’s lace, and silver bells hung from the center of the
arch Sweetpeas, feverfew and white stock decorated the rooms.
Camille Smyers and Mrs. R. H. Campbell sang At Dawning (Cad-
man), accompanied by Mrs. Henry Albritton, who played the wedding
march
The bride was given in marriage by her lather and was attended by
her sister, Mrs O. D Roland of Port Arthur, as matron of honor. Doyle
Thurman, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Mary lee Roland of
Port Arthur was the flower girl.
Heavenly blue crepe made the
bride’s frock, with knife pleated
skirt, a pleated bodice with sweet-
heart bows at the deep V-neck and
fitted midriff. Her shoulderline veil
was of illusion, falling from a white
felt coronet hat with white gros-
grain pompadour bows. The bridal
bouquet was an old-fashioned nose-
gay of white roses and lilies-of-the-
valley, nestled to Illusion matching
the veil, with white satin streamers
sprinkled with blue forget-me-nots.
The matron of honor wore dusty
pink with a corsage of blue and
white sweetpeas, and the small
flower girl was frocked to pink
taffeta.
A reception followed the cere-
mony. In the flower-decked dining
room the table was laid with ve-
netian cutwork and centered with
the punch bowl, circled with a
wedding ring bolder filled with
white feverfew and fern. Tiny sil-
ver bells topped the three-tlered
wedding sake

punch bowl end Mrs. Tate May at
the wedding cake after the bride
had cut the first piece.
