WAR TIME
Schedule Change
ERLectiua Joday,
' Sunday, June 21st
War time activities have necessitated
a slight lengthening of some of our pas-
senger train schedules.
I F you have been in the habit of paying
your bills on a thirty-day basis, and if you
continue on that basis, Regulation "W" will
not affect your charge accounts at all.
Regulation "W" became effective May 6.
All charge purchases on the books at that
time, and all charge purchases made since
that date come under its rules. If there is
any question concerning your charge ac-
count at any retail store, please do not hesi-
tate to get in touch with the credit mana-
ger. He will gladly explain any detail you
would like clarified. -
ways existed between stores and their
charge patrons, be continued. It is their
feeling that these regulations passed by
the government will not materially change
the essential convenience and service of-
fered through a charge account. We know
that the charge patrons will join with the
stores of Abilene in full cooperation with
the government.

Simply stated, the section covering charge

second calendar month following the calen-
dar month during which purchases were

July default if not paid by September 10,
August purchases by October 10, and so on.
To meet the conditions of this government ruling,
the statement month must coincide with the cal-
endar month. Future statements will include all
charge purchases from the first day through the
lost day of the month.

With a few exceptions, Regulation "W" requires a
