ident, presided over the meeting.
Plans were perfected for a mam-
moth bridge and whist tournament
which will be given later at the resi-
dence of Mrs. Pauline Lubin, 1209
Wilson. The cozy home was done in
huge blue and gold baskets of pink
carnations bringing about a pervad-
ing springtime atmosphere. Tiny
green cups filled with green mints
served as holders for the tiny green
hearts with reading and names at-
tached to them. An appetizing re-
past of barbecued chicken, potato sal-
ad on lettuce leaves, individual jelly
cups, green pea cups, three leaf clov-
er rolls, was beautifully served on
plates handsomely garnished with
lemon and parsley. Two visitors were
present, Mmes. Hazel Price Jackson
and Artis Carodine. Ten members
attended the meeting. Bridge was
the chief entertaining feature.

Bridge Club
The We Moderns Bridge Club held
its last meeting with Mrs. Camilla
Byars, 3283 Berry. The business
feature of the meeting being taken
care of, the members digressed a bit
from the usual bridge routine to in-
dulge in a few games of pool as a
fresh form of entertainment. When
several hands of bridge were com-
plete, Miss Bess K. Humphrey took
first prize and Mrs. Constance
Thompson was given consolation. The
pleasant home was made entrancing-
ly beautiful with a St. Patrick’s Day
decorative motif. Place cards ap-
peared in St. Patrick form on green
table cover that were “regular.” A
beautiful green lighting system was
perfected in each room. Lovely fra-
grant flowers with a predominance of
green fernery swayed and bowed in
corners which seemed to met the
guests as they arrived. When the
games were over the hostess, with her'
assistants, entered with plates of
chicken patties, gelatine stuffed to-
matoes with green peas and hot rolls.
The La Golandrinia Club
The La Golandrinia Club met at
