traced and cut to form a shoulder
neckline of lace flowers which were
hand embroidered in seed pearls
and crystals. The tapered sleeves
that ended in points were also
sprinkled with crystals. Her bouf-
fant skirt ended in a cathedral
train. Her fingertip veil of French
illusion fell from a tiara of seed

During the week all FHA mem-

FHA creed, song, prayer, colon,
flower, purposes, emblem and

Each school will be presented
a bouquet of red roses, the FHA
flower, to be placed in the hall
or office of the school.
Tuesday night at 7 o’clock in
the Lincoln Junior High Auditor-
ium the officers of the Abilene
High Chapter will initiate the new
members of the three junior high
schools. Following the initiation
ceremony the senior high officers
will install the 1955 officers of the
junior high chapters. Special
guests are to be the parents of
the members.
Sara McRee, president of the
Lincoln Junior High Chapter, will
preside for the program. Jo Ann
Maples, North Junior, will play
a piano solo, "Kitten on the Keys."
Joye McElroy, Lincoln Junior High,
will sing a solo. A pantomine,
“Black Denim Trousers," will be
presented by Ann Newberry, Jen-
na Chapman, Nell Nix and Polly
Moody of South Junior High chap-
ter.
The refreshment table will be
centered with a bouquet of red
roses. Two white cakes, decorated
with red roses, will also add to
table decorations.
The sponsors of the FHA chap-
tare are Ruby Compere, Frances
Caffey, Mae Lee Moore, Mrs

HOME FROM GERMANY — M Sgt. and Mrs. Robert Chandler are visiting Mrs.
Chandler's parents, Mr. and Mra. John L. Beechly, 2557 Hickory St., after spend-
ing three years in Germany. With them are their two sons, left to right, Bobby, 12,
and John, 11, and their adopted German daughter, Paula Sue, 2%. While in Ger-
many, the family lived in Ausbach where Sgt. Chandler was stationed with the Army.
After visiting in Abilene, the Chandlers will go to Oklahoma City, Okla., to visit
Chandler’s parents. They will be stationed at Ft. Hood. Mrs. Chandler is the former
