TAT
WE STARTED
HERE BEFORE
IT WAS SO POPULAR.
It was 1953. Hoof & mouth disease
was epidemic. Range grass was poor
and you couldn’t get a telephone
to save your life.
The truth is, the big phone companies wouldn’t come here then
because it just wasn’t profitable. Farmers and ranchers threw in with
shop owners and physicians to form Guadalupe Valley Telephone
Cooperative. We’re member-owned, and we owe no allegiance to
Wall Street or outside shareholders. That’s why we’ve delivered long
distance, broadband Internet, and superior digital telephone service
to our entire membership service area. We didn’t just come here
for profit. We’re your friends and neighbors.
- And we’re here for the same reasons you are.
Sandy Mattick—GVTC Controller
Sandy's a familiar face around Boerne
where she grew up and her children
attend school. Her life long commitment
is evident, as she remains heavily
involved in various civic activities
throughout our community.
