RISING STAR. April’s (RNS) —
An extra large vote of 480 was
polled in the school trustee elec-
tion here Saturday, with seven can-
didates in the race for three places.
Elected were incumbent H. A.
Witt with 261 votes. Lewis Jack-
son with 246, and Wilburn Scott
with 2M.
Defeated candidates were D. J.
Perkins, running for re - election,
who received 202 votes, Tom Gib-
bard with 116, Dan Deon with 196,
and H. L. Millington with 190.
. Voting waa spirited all day.
ROTAN
ROTAN, April 3 (RNS) — Sam.
my Baugh led the ticket in a five-
man race for two places on the
Rotan School Board in Saturday's
elections.
Baugh came in first with 163 of
the total vote of 309, Lawrence
Sparks, incumbent, waa re-elected
with 133.
Other candidates were Willie B.
McKimmey. 116; Arthur Carter,
104; Lehman Newton Jr,. 97.
ROBY
Price was election judge.
Incumbents W. S. Etheredge,
George McBeth, and Roland Ray
were re-elected to the county
school board
WYLIE I ,
WYLIE, April 3 (RNS) - J. T.
Watts and T. A. Bailey, with 13
and nine votes respectively, were
re-elected to Wylie School District
No. 11 here Saturday. Two places
were open.
Other candidates and the num-
ber of votes received were Bill
Bettia, Jamea Downing and Bob
Loving, one each; L. C. Farr, Al-
ton Thornton, Odell Griggs and
Footer Cox, two each. A “Mr.
Smith,” whose first name waa not
listed on the ballot, received five
votes.
RULE
RULE, April 3 (RNS) - L. W.
Jones, Jr., and W. S. Cole won in
the school trustee election here
Saturday. Jones polled 76 votes
and Cole 0.
Defeated candidatea for the two
school trustee posts were Oravl
Tanner with 58 votes, and Camer-
on Sprayberry with 50.
Approximately 130 voters turned
out.
BROWNWOOD
BROWNWOOD, April 3 (RNS)-
Three new school trustees were
added to the school board during
ROBY, April 3. (RNS) — There
waa no contest in the school trus- .an election here Saturday. One
tee elections at Roby, and few
votes were cast.
George Field was re-elected with
a vote of 27, and James Cave was
elected with 26 votes. Mrs. G. L.
incumbent candidate was defeat-
ed and the other two did not
seek re-election.
The newly - elected trustees and
votes received are Osmo Black.
274; Marrin Corley, IN; and J.
B. Mackey, 187.
Defeated candidates and voiea
received are Mathew Caperton. 63,
incumbent; Jamea Allen, 42;
Joe Rawlir.gs, 75; Vernon Glenn
114; Robert Wilson, 139; and Car-
roll Robbins, 93.
A total of 387 votea were cast.
The incumbents who did not
seek re-election are Aubrey Den-
man and Sid Evana. Hold-over
trustees are Foy Moore, Dr. John
Harris, Jessie Parker and M. G.
Stephenson.
WEINERT
WEINERT. April 3 (RNS) — Co-
len Hammer and Marvin Phemis-
ter won over S. G. Cobb, Jr., and
C. C. Childress in a good turnout
of voters at the school trustee
election here Saturday.
Hammer polled 84 votes. Phe-
mister 74, Cobb 29, and Childress
54.

O’BRIEN, April 3 (RNS) — J.
J. Middlebrook, M. S. Denton and
Alton Heater were elected school
trustees here Saturday. Defeated
candidatea were S. E. Johnston
and L. B. Davis. Between 30 and
40 ballots were cast In a light
turnout of voters.
HASKELL
HASKELL. April 3 (RNS) — Fif-
ty votes were polled in a school
trustee election here Saturday in
which none of the candidates
were opposed.
Ed Hester, president of the local
school board, and Gaston Hattox,
were re-elected.
In county-wide voting, Ira Hes-
ter was elected trustee-at-large.
From county Precinct 2, H. H.
Sego of Haskell, was re-elected
and from county Precinct 4, W. H.
Stegemoeller of Sagerton. was
elected.
ELMDALE) ,
ELMDALE. April 3 — Milton A»-
tilley and O. J. Johnson were re-
elected trustee* of the Elmdale
Common School District Saturday,
and Elmer Griffith was picked as
third trustee.
Other candidates were Roy Grif-
fith, Elmer’s brother, Roy Kemper,
Edwsrd Bilger, J. A. Seymore, and
G. Putt.
LAWN
LAWN, April 3 (RNS) — Bud Mc-
Neal was elected trustee of Lawn
Schools and A. J. McCollum and
A. G. Raper deadlocked for the re-
maining place on the school board
in balloting here Saturday.
McCollum and Raper each re-
ceived 36 votes for the trusteeship
while McNeal with 96 votes was
elected outright.
HAMBY
HAMBY, April 3 (RNS) — Two
school trustees were elected and
four other candidates were dead-
locked for the third available place
here Saturday. 1
The elected trustees are Lenox
Gist, who received nine votes, and
J. D. Watts, who received 10.

ASPERMONT
ASPERMONT, April S (RNS)-
Two write - in candidates won
school trustee places and an in-
cumbent re-elected in one of the
largest school trustee elections in
the history of Aspermont. A total
of 177 votes were cast
The write-in candidates were Dr.
A. R. Mancille with 115 votes, and
George Hanke with 112. Raymond
Marr, president of the school
board, was re-elected with 110.
Defeated candidates were Virgil
Kolb with 01 votes. Incumbent Oli-
ver Penrod with 68, and R. H.
Hahn with 1.
OLD GLORY
OLD GLORY, April 3 (RNS) —
Roy Herttenberger and A. R. Saw-
yer were re-elected in the school
trustee election here Saturday.
Herttenberger got d votes and Saw-
yer 9.
Defeated were Mrs. B. A. Erd-
man with 1 vote, and David Letz
with 1.
Ten ballots were cast.
PEACOCK
PEACOCK, April 3 (RNS) — Ar-
tie Boydstun was re-elected and
Ross Collum, who wss seeking re-
election, tied with J. D. Parker
in voting for school trustees here
Saturday.
Boydstun got 29 votes sod Cal-
lum and Parker each got 18.
Defeated was R. F. Clack with
7 votes.
Thirty-seven votes were cast
