DALLAS. June 13 - Nanette
Weaver, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. A W Weaver of Haskell, and
Albert P. Davis were married Sun-
day afternoon in the First Method-
ist Church.
The bridegroom is the son of
Mrs S. P. Davis and the late Mr.
Davis.
The Rev. J. B Stewart of Taho-
ka officiated at the double ring
ceremony. Baskets of white and
pink gladioli flanked an archway
of greenery.
Best man was Johnny Pat Davis
Ushering were Buddy Goode and
Royce Adkins of Haskell.
Mrs. Wilda Medford, organist,
played traditional wedding music
and accompanied soloist, Mrs.
Johnny Pat Davis, sister - in-law
of the bridgroom, as she sang
‘"Through the Years" and “The
Lord's Prayer.” Mrs Davis Por-
terfield of Corpus Christi read
“Melody of Love.”

Will Camp at 'Gap, June 16-18
4-H girls from 15 counties in
District 7 will meet for their an-
nual District Camp on June 16,
17, and 18, at Presbyterian En-
campment Grounds at Buffalo
Gap. This is a leadership camp
and the girls who attend will help
with their county camps. There
will be recreation, crafts and
swimming.
Miss Thelma Casey. District
Home Demonstration Agent of
San Angelo, will be in charge of
the camp. The home demonstra-
tion agents that are in charge of
the various committees are as fol-
lows: general arrangements —

The theme of the camp is de-
veloping the 4-Hs. The 4-H girls
will be divided into four groups
consisting of the head, heart,
and hand groups There will four
girls, an adult leader and the
county home demonstration agents
from the counties above.

rollyn Loudder returned to her
home in Moran after a year as

home from a four weeks' visit in
home of Mr and Mrs. Walter San-
ders.

FHA Elects Leaders
MERKEL, June 13 - The Mer
kel Future Homemakers of Ameri-
ca met to elect officers for the
1955-56 school term. Those elected
were president, Joyce McLean;
vice president, Kay Chancy;
secretary. Imogene Thomas; treas-
urer, Patty Eakin; public rela-
tions officer, Elsie Ward; parlia-
mentarian, Jocille Thompson; his-
torian, Linda McLean: song lead-
ers, Lorene Horton and Betty Raye
Chancey.
After the meeting, the girls went
to Abilene State Park for a picnic.

PLEASANT HILL,
(RNS) - The Butterfield 4-H Club
girls were guests of the Pleasant
Hill Home Demonstration Club
when it met in the Community Cen-
ter. Sandra Parmelly and Janice
Evans gave the demonstration of
making cottage cheese refrigera-
tor cookies.
Mrs. Claude Newberry gave a
history of the 4-H clubs in the coun-
ty. Mrs. Robert Stephan explained
how the Gold Star Girl is selected
each year. Sandra Hopkins led the
group in singing.

Ben L. White of Sweetwater, for-
merly of Moran, and Georgia Car-
ey of Sweetwater were married in
a double ring ceremony June 3
After their wedding trip, they will
be at home at Sweetwater.
Scene of the ceremony was their
home which they had rented, furn-
ished and made ready for occupa-
tion upon their marriage, at 105
W Alabama St., Sweetwater.
The bridegroan is the son of Mr
and Mrs. Samuel Preston White of
Moran, near here.
Vows were exchanged beneath
an archway of white gladioli, white
roses and fern frondage. The
bride, attended by her sister, wore
a white satin ballerina - length
gown, fashioned with fitted bodice
and full skirt. Her veil of illusion
was fingertip length and she

Billy Don Turner of Eastland
was his uncle's best man.
At the reception which followed
a bouquet of white gladioli and
