Antonio Good Roads League, stating

urday to inspect our roads, take
views in our town, etc. Find out

Christmas Ship To Europe
The Americas'children are told
that the home of Santa Claus,
where the toys are made, in Belgium
has been destroyed by the war; and
long before the time of the coming
of the dear old Santa, we are feeling
that our stockings are not going to
be filled thia time,
Some good people, however, are
not worrying about Santa Claus
getting to America, but are fixing to
load a great ehip full of America's
good things to send to the children
of Europe whose fathers are in the
war, or perhaps have already been
killed. Thia ship will carry a mil-
lion packages of pecans, peanuts
etc. raised in Texas and will not
only be a treat to the poor children
but will advertise America and Tex-
as. It ia thought that the close of
the awful war will witness another
great rash for America and for Texas
and it is proposed to have placed in
these packages a slip of paper des-
cribing the place where the nuts
