tying for the district four lead but ahachle is favored to take that
the Wildcats were not equal to the
occasion and Waco won 20 to 0.
Waco was outplayed by both Cor-
sicana and Cleburne this season on
the Cotton Palace Field but neither
could beat the Tigers. It has been
a great district campaign, one that
has found the clubs evenly match-
ed except in two games, that when
Cleburne beat Temple here 33 to 0
game.* 1
Corsicana and Cleburne both held
big pep rallies Wednesday evening.
The Tigers staged a rally and bon-
fire while Cleburne contented it-
self with a bonfire and a rally
without the football team in at-
tendance at a fixed place. A big
parade was also held.
A special train carrying hundreds
of Corsicana fans arrived in the
city about 11 o’clock and the train
was met by a local delegation at
the station. Corsicana came over
strong for the battle with automo-
biles arriving throughout the morn-1
and Waco socked Temple 20 to 0.
Corsicana’s team features Gordon
Clarke, a great passer and punter;
Billy Stamps, an all-State guard;
Dick Young, a sensational center;
Dee Newland, a pile-driving back, - ____________-
and Captain Ross, a brilliant tackle. Ling with visitors from Navarro

The contest begins at 2:30 o’clock
at Rhome Field.
Holiday Event.
It is a holiday event in Cleburne
with hundreds here from Corsicana
for the game. A large crowd is ex-
pected at Rhome Field despite the
fact that the game will mean noth-
ing in the final standing of the dis-
trict four clubs. The standing to
