OBITUARIES
Laura Louise Blatt
On April 9, 2011, Laura Louise Blatt, age 94, passed
from this life into a new life with our Lord. Most of her
adult life was spent in Uvalde and Houston. She was
the owner of a jewelry store for many years in Uvalde.
While in Houston she worked in the mayor's office until
she retired. She came to Boerne in 1996 and attended
St. Helena's Episcopal Church until her health no longer
permitted it.
Some of those left to honor and cherish her memory are
her daughter, Sharron Welch of Boerne, her grandson Rod
Welch and wife Kim; great-grandchildren Taylor, Kirby,
Rhett and Riley Welch of Boerne; her granddaughter
Audra Ochsner and husband Stephen; great-grandchil-

dren Rachel and Rebekah Ochsner of San Antonio; her sister Alice Klump and husband
Bennie of Corpus Christi; nephews, Bennie III and Jack Klump; niece Barbara Sanchez
and husband Felix of Boerne; niece Brenda Lane of San Antonio.
Laura was a devout Christian and lived her life as example to us all. Those who knew
her well say she never uttered an unkind word. She was very generous and always put
others first. She was the anchor of our family and we are comforted knowing she lived
a long and happy life. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends, and her
memory and unconditional love will continue to inspire and be remembered.
In lieu of formal visitation, viewing is scheduled Tuesday, April 12, from 4 to 7 p.m.
