day night with Miss Maxine Coch-
ran. ,
W. E. Lohn, Jr., and Edell Mc-
Bee of Lohn have been in the com-
munity the last few days wiring
houses for electricity. The posts
for the high line have all been
erected and all that is lacking now
is for the wire to be strung and
the current turned on.
A fishin trip on Bluff Creek
Saturday night was enjoyed by Mr.
and Mrs. Cecil Cochran and family,
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Allev and baby,
Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Salsbury, Mr.
and Mrs. Ira Killingsworth. Misses
Charlotte Young and Margean
Turner and Leo Turner. They re-
port a very enjoyable time and
plenty of fish.
Mrs. Raymond Rehm and daugh-
ter, Shirley, of Rockwood, were
week-end guests of Mrs. Rehm’s
sister, Mrs. William Turner and
family.
Miss Lanita Elliott spent Friday
night with Misses Wanda Sue and
Marv Gavle Hodges.
Mrs. W. S. Young is ill at this
time, suffering with sciatic rheum-
atism.
The P. T. A. held its regular
meeting at the schoolhouse Friday
night with a good sized crowd
present. The pupils put on an in-
teresting program and J. C. Pet-
ty, superintendent of the Lohn
school, gave a brief talk on the
advantages of consolidation of this
school with the Lohn school. Mrs.
Alice Hodges announced the grad-
uation exercises for the night of
May 18th, and it was decided by
the patrons of the school that a
basket picnic at Richards Park on
May 19th would mark the closing
of school.
Mr. and Mrs. Grover Beakley
and son, of Winchell, visited Rob-
ert Beakley Friday.
Mi’s Ethyl Mitchell, who is at
present staving with Mrs. T. A.
Wyres, visited relatives at Fife
Sunday afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Young and
daughters, Charlotte, attended the
singing convention at Salt Gap
Sunday afternoon.
Bobby Cochran was a guest Fri-
day night of Leo Turner and at-
tended the baseball tournament in
Brady with him Saturday.
Mrs. John Moore, daughter,
Edith and son, Hilton, returned
home Sunday from Temple
where Edith had been receiving
medical treatment since Wednes-
day. We are glad to report Edith’s
condition as improved, and that
an operation will not be necessary,
as was feared.
Mrs. O. V. Young and son, Gil-
bert, of Placid, stayed with the
Moore children during their moth-
er’s stay in Temple.
Mr. and Mrs. Rockett Hall were
callers in the Roy Wyres home
one evening last week.
Friends of Mrs. B. A. Comils,
Sr., will be glad to know that she
is getting along nicely at present.
She has returned to the home of
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Cornils af-
ter having spent the winter with
her daughter, Mrs. Pete Lembke,
and Mr. Lembke of Lohn.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Willis were
callers in the W. S. Young home
Sunday evening.
Miss Margean Turner spent

Mrs. S. T. Killingsworth of Bra-
dy.
