4-H Gold Star winners named
Two local 4-H members from McCulloch County were among
30 youth honored during the Texas AgriLife Extension Service's |
District 7 4-H Gold Star Banquet. The annual event was held |
Nov 1 in the Cactus Hotel in San Angelo.
The honorees w ere Alleigh Ory, daughter of Dennis and Mela-
nie Ory, and Tanner McBee, son of Ronnie and Mary McBee.
The Gold Star Award is the highest
aathnt honor given by AgriLife Extension on the

enaehi their personal development, leadership and
t achievement in 4-H projects and on activities
) and contributions made to the 4-H program.
A The annual Friend of 4-H Award was
presented to Tractor Supply Company for
their continued support of the 4-H program
through fundraisers, donations to various
county 4-H events and discounts on merchandise to 4-H members.
The award is given annually to an individual or business for
their support of the district's 4-H program.
The Gold Star Banquet is sponsored annually in the 23-county
district by AgriLife Extension and AEP-Texas.

program will be different from those in the past.

The Fredonia Community
Association is planning its an-
nual rummage and bake sale
the mornings of Friday and
Saturday. Nov. 12 and 13 from
8 a.m. until 12 noon each day.
Money and donations from
this sale go toward the purchase
of a building for the organi-
zation as well as for general
expenses.
Anyone who would like to
become a member of the orga-
nization or make a donation,
may do so by sending them

Annual membership dues
are $10 per person. When
sending dues or donations,
