Mr. Chas. Battaglia a popular and
well known mechanic of this city and
Miss Lizzie Mooty a charming young
lady also of this city were married last
night at the home of the bride » parents
on Plum street. Judge Jos. Umseheid of
ficiating The wedding ceremony was
very pretty and impressive and the sur-
roundings were prettily decorated for the
occasion. The attendants were the
Misses Clara Paris as maid of honor and
Miss Delle Zimmerman as bride’B maid
and the Messrs. Will and Fred Mooty as
best men. The bride was attired in a
beautiful white silk nnille trimmed with
handsome applique with satin ribbon
wore an elegant veil with orange blos-
soms and carried a handsome boquet
of bride’s roses with ferns while the
groom was dressed in conventional black.
Immediately after the marriage service
the large number of guests present re-
paired to the dining room where a sump-
tons wedding supper was spread and
toast after toast was drunk to Ithe future
happiness of the young couple. W hile the
guests were stilt at the table the sweet
strains of Beek’s band wore heard ren-
dering a delightful serenade to the new-
ly wedded emple and the remainder of
the evening was pleasantly spent with
local and instrumental music and at an
early hour this morning the festivities
came to an end with many pleasant
meinori"’ of a most enjoyable evening
spent. Many handsome and useful pres-
ents were received by the newly wetlded
nair with nianv wishes for a happv fu-
ture. Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Battaglia
will be nt home from Tuesday night nt
their new residence 104 Dashiell avenue.

RECEIVERSHIP CASE.

Fort Worth. Tex.. Nov. 9.—The case
of John V. Farwell et al. vs. Margaret
Ann Babcock et al. one branch of the
case involving the receivership pro-
ceedings over the property of the
i Capital syndicate ranch was decided
in the Civil Court of Appeals here to-
day. The receivership was vacated
but the reasons will not be filed until
next Sunday though It was stated
that the decision was based on only
one phase of the case and that the
main reasons were not decided. The
propertv involved is valued at over
ten million dollars.
