Bad Blood
You have the most • convincing evidence of this
fact every day. Otherwise beautiful faces marred with
black heads blotches and pimples muddy or sallow com-
plexions and red rough or oily skins are some of tha>
most common and conspicuous symptoms of bad blood.
You can hide these ugly and humiliating blemishes by glazing them over with face
powders and rouge and the rough and discolored skin is made white and smooth by a lavish
use of cosmetics but these artificial complexions and false skins only last for a day when
the eruptions and spots stand out as bare and brazen as ever.* The natural beauty and
smoothness of the skin cannot be permanently restored by the use of external applications
for the reason that these skin diseases are due to some poison or humor in the blood that
must be antidoted and eliminated before the skin can or. will retumjo a. heal thy. state.

MERCHANTS OF NEW ORLEANS
CAME INTO TOWN.

The “New Orleans Special” bearing
the delegation of New Orleans busi-
ness men who arc visiting the com-
mercial centers of Texas the person-
nel of which appeared in yesterday’s
Light arrived in the city this morn-
ing over the Aransas Pass and the
gentlemen are being appropriately cn-

Hot Wells and later took trolley cars
to rl Ie over the city being received
and taken in charge by the business
men named in The Light yesterday
by President Hart ot the Busi-

The special train is composed of
three Pullman sleepers a composite

The sleepers are the very latest crea-

the diner embodies the very latest
The larder carries all that
hunger tr thirst can desire and the
composite car includes a barber shop
and bath room. It proclaims its pur-
pose in bunting.
The purpose of this excursion ot
New Orleans business men through
South and North Texas is explained
by booklets which are being distrib-
uted to the number of 100000 along
the route. In short the excursion is
merely a big advertisement for New
Orleans in Texas. The business and
commercial men of the Crescent City
have awakened to the fact that the
biggest and best country in the Uni-
ted States lies alongside of them and
that it has entered upon a new era of
commercial development and prosper-
ity.
As a consequence thereof New Or-
leans desires to call attention to itself
and become more deeply allied with
Texas development than ever berore.
The booklets which are being distrib-
uted along the rout- contain among
pther things a number of nice bou-
quets for Texas and as many for New
Orleans. They are neat little souven-
irs.
The trip covers a-period of ten days
and includes a stop at every impor-
tant point in Texas. The rest ot the
