Now you can have the security of a bank CD, and potential-
ly higher-than-CD returns, in one no-lose CD package.
The new First City Bull & Bear CD pays interest depending
on which way you think the stock market will go during your
CD’s term, based on the nationally recognized Standard &
Poor’s 500 Index. And your principal is never at stake.
There are two ways to gain: choose the Bull CD if you think
the market will rise between your opening date and maturity:
or choose The Bear CD if you think it will fall. Your interest
will be calculated based on a percentage of the change in the
official S & P 500 Index over your investment period. But no
matter which way the market goes, you’re guaranteed a base
rate of interest.
And, unlike actually investing in stocks or mutual funds, you
pay no fees, commissions or other charges. You can invest as
little as $1,000. Choose either 6-month or 12-month terms. And
receive the security of FDIC insurance

DEGREES OF EYE PROTECTION
Millions of people should be
wearing some form of eye pro-
tection while engaged in haz-
ardous activities, whether on
the job or while pursuing their
hobbies at home. The type and
degree of eye protection de-
pends on the nature of the
hazards which they face.
All corrective lenses pre-
scribed by doctors of op-
tometry are, by law, impact
resistant. Impact resistant
spectacles provide LIMITED
frontal protection against fly-
ing particles. However, “im-
pact-resistant’ lenses will
break.
“Safety glasses," on the
other hand, contain lenses
which meet industrial safety
lens standards which are
significantly more stringent.
These glasses offer con-
siderably more protection than
those which are merely “im-
pact resistant.”
For maximum protection,
especially against the hazard
of flying particles, safety
thickness goggles are recom-
mended. These may be worn
over regular glass and offer
both frontal and side protec-
tion.
