CITY NEWS
Dance a Success.
The first social dance the K Club
ever gave to its members and invited
guests occurred last nlgnt at Muth's
garden and was a grand success. Over
200 couples were on the floor dancing
to the strains of a string orchestra
which was concealed behind a bower
of palms and pot plants. The even-
ing’s entertainment was greatly en-
joyed. The various committees which
contributed to the success of the event
are:
Door committee Messrs. Alt Klaus
G. Westerzil and Lee Wallace; floor
committee Messrs ike Pendleton A.
Dugan and Herman Klaus; reception
committee Messrs Walter Gardner L.
Holbrook and Otto Klaus.
o
Gives Enjoyable Dance.
The Ladies' Auxiliary of the E. M. L.
gave their second annual dance last
night at Turner hall. Over 100 cou-
ples took advantage of the ladies’ hos-
pitality and danced until 1 o'clock. The
various committees to whom credit is
due for the success of the dance are:
Door committee. Miss Clara Wrase
and Miss Nettie Wrase; floor commit-
tee Miss Dora Miller and Miss Leaia
TAKE THEM OUT
Or Feed Them Food They Can Study
On.
When a student begins to break
down from lack of the right kind of
food there are only two things to
do; either take him out of school or
feed bim properly on food that will
rebuild the brain and nerve cells.
That food is Grape-Nuts.
A boy writes from Jamestown N.
y„ saying: “A short time ago I got
Into a bad condition from overstudy
but Mother having heard aboi. Grape-
Nuts food began to feed me on ft. It
satisfied my hunger better than any
other food and the results were marv.
clous I got fleshy like a good fellow.
My usual morning headaches disap-
• -ared and I found I could study for
. long period without feeling the ef-
fect? of it.
"My face was pale and thin but is.
now round and has considerable
color. After I had been using Grape-
Nuts for about two months. I fe-- like
a new boy altogether. I have gained
greatly in strength as well as i.esh
and it is a pleasure to study now that
1 am not bothered with my head. I
passed all of my examinations with a
reasonably good percentage extra
good in some of them and it is Grape-
Nuts that has saved me frorff a year’s
delay in entering college.
“Father and mother have both been
Improved by the use of Grape-Nuts.
Mother was troubled with sleepless
nights and got very thin and looked
care-worn. She has gained her normal
strength and looks and sleeps well
nights.” “There's a Reason.” Read

500 Attend Ball.
The S. S. Social club's fourth an-
niversary ball given at Beethoven hall
last night was largely attended there
being over 250 couples on the floor. The
number proves the popularity of this
social club.
The various committees which had
the ball in charge saw that all present
enjoyed themselves. The stranger
derived as much pleasure from the
evening's entertainment after he had
passed through the reception commit-
tee's hands as the oldest member of
the club. By special request the
dance was prolonged to a late hour
and when “Home Sweet Home” was
played all present regretted that the
evening had passed so swiftly.
