CALLS EXTRA SESSION
Governor General of Philippines Calls
Assembly.
(LT THR ’ASSUI’iai'RD PRESS.)
MANILA Feb. 2.—After a stormy
all night meeting the legislative as-
sembly took final adjournment at 6
I o’clock this morning thus closing thei
1 second session of the" second leglsla-1
i ture. Because of the squabbles be-1
tween the houses over the question of)
privilege only about seventy bills!
have been passed by the assembly
and many important measures are
still outstanding.
Governor General Forbes imme-
diately called an extra live days’ ses-
sion to settle outstanding measures.
A repetition of last night's deadlock
over the appropriation bills seemed
likely.
