later than the accounts brought by ibe Europa.—
The following is a summary of her news :
liverpool, June 24 —There has been a good ¡^GaivMwn"*
demand in the cotton market here since ihe de-
parture of ihe Europa, on the 17th inst., and the
aales reach fully 60,000 bales, of which 7000
have been taken for speculation and 8000 for ex-
port. Prices have generally tended in favor of bune from Baltimore, dally expected,
tellers, but «iihmil any material advauee. and Peb. 13th, tas*. dos
Mill ¡can Evens k, Co. quute as follows: Fair Or-
leans G l-*2 d., Middling Orleans. 5 1-2J., Fair

The transactions ia American Stock have
been large, and generally at an advance in rates.

from Havre report a moderate demand in the
Cotton market there, with unchanged prices.
The sale* of the week embraced 5000 bales.

The latest advices irom Silisiria report that
the Turks, without assistance, had defeat d forces
opposite Silistria, and driven tbem across the
Danube. The siege of the place had accordingly
been raised before the arrival of the allied

dent 00 tbe Susquehanna Railroad yesterday,
occurred about nine miles fiom Baiiimure.
An excursion train was returning with a large
number of Maaengers from a 4th of July cele-
biatlon al Rider's Grove, when it came in col-
lision with the train from Baltimore for N«w
Vorlr.
Tbe excursion 11 aln had fourteen cars filled
witb people, of whom thirty were killed, and
forty badly wounded, manv ol them fatally, and
fifi y others were more or lea* injured.
Most of ihe sufferers are Buliimoreans.
Mr. Scott, the conductor was killed, and several
ol our prominent citizens also loci their lives,—
Among them nru Messrs. JefTersou, Reynold,
Merryinan and Boyd.
There are many bodies not yet recognized.
Moat ol the killed and wounded were laborers
and mechanics, and tome of thciu women and

The Grecian Insurrection has been suppressed.
Tbe Circassians have again whipped ihe Rus-

w ell as Cipare of Direet importation from Haruna.
The establishment is open at present until 1Ü o'clock

Enquirer, of the 30th alt., says: "The deaths from
cholera this week threaten to be many if not
more than occurred last week. The total nam-
ber of deaths from cholera up to Saturday last,
for tbe season, amounted to 129. These occur-
red in five weeks. Tbe number of deaths from
cholera last week was 44, of which 38 were for-
eigners. The disease was not confined to the
filthiest wards.l but scattered indiscriminately
over the city. However, the spots in which it
did appear were as a general'thing very filthy.
This week we are told the disease acts more
strangely, and tends to puzzle physicians more
