would it not have been advisable,
to have employed a civil engineer to
wfctoh the oonstructiou of the coun-
ty bridge in oourse of erection st
Richmond, in arder to ensure sub-
stantial work^especiallyjn^fouuda-
tions, or any auch work that cannot
be inspeoted conveniently after-
wards. It is a question whether
work can be well done under water?
Would it not be well to have the
east pier ooppardam pumped out
and examined by ¿some competent
judge of auch work before more
■money ia aquandere'd in a structure
that may uot stand one year. Such
an adveut would be a «damage to
tbe county in general, as there
would probably be „uo ferry, and
numbers of the inhabitauta of the
ooánty would be completely cut off
from their county seat.
I think if a sworn statement, of
the employees detailing their mode
of work were submitted to disinter-
ested engineers, much of .the work
would be oondemed.
I understand that the last little
rise moved the (north east corner
down the river[aoine; if such is the
case, how would it stand floods such
aa we had last ^summer.

Frightful Catarrh.
Pieces of Bone.
For four years I have been affli-
ed with a very troublesom cata-
rrh of the head. So terrible has its
nature been that when I blew my
nature all pieces o f bono would
frequently come out of my mouth
and nose, 'ihe discharge waa cor-
iftus, and at times 'exceedingly of-
fensive. My blood became so im-
pure that my general health was
greatly impaired, with poor appe-
tite and worse digestion.
NumerioUs medicine were used
without relief, untiil I began the
use of B. B. B., and three bottles
acted as magic. Since their use
not a symptom has returned, and I
el ill every way quito restored,
health I am an old citizen of
