contends that the cause of disease
in the body is the vertebral sub-

upon nerves and interfers with the
normal transmission of vital nerve

Is to locate the place in the spine

BOND CASH-INS
The public Is cashing in savings
bonds at a slower rate than ex-
pected, but faster than Congress
nrovided for, according to the
Treasury, which had asked for a
S55.300.000 appropriation to service
the d 'bt for the fiscal year ending
next June 30. Congress trimmed
that to $31,000,000, largely on
grounds that funds estimated for
processing savings bond redemp-
tions were too high.

THE DOLLAR
It is apparent that it is President
Eisenhower's intention to make th
dollar worth more. Today's dollar,
compared with pre-war, is worth
52.jS—in terms of what it will buy
of things that go into the living-
cost index. The dollar, prior to the
outbreak of the Korean War, was
worth about 39 cents.

LARGENT'S
JUNKYARD
Largent's Junk Yard located at
212 Homer Blvd. in Lufkin buys all
kinds of junk for the highest prices.
Today, junk metal is very much
in demand to assist in our defense
effort. Some metals arc very
scarce and this situation can be
remedied a great deal if all the
junk laying around useless would
be sold and put to use. Junk is
worthless to anyone when it is
cluttering up our yards, but with
very little effort it can be con-
verted into dollars in our pockets.
It would be wise to take inventory
of your yard today and gather up
all junk metal and bring it in to
Largent's Junk Yard where it can
b < put to use for a worthwhile
cause.
Almost all metal can be sold as
junk, so why not have the money
in your pocket instead of the junk
lying around. This firm has a rep-
utation for being fair in all their
dealings so you can be sure that
you are doing business with a
r.liable firm when you come here.
Remember their location, 212
Homer Blvd. in Lufkin. For price
quotations or any information just

and cement work, such as porches,
driveways, foundations, walks, and
steps. They also feature tile for
drainboards, walls, counters, floors,

The lowest bid is not always the
cheapest. If the work you have done
is not as you desired it and repairs
must be made in a short while,

j will not happen when you call this

Every month earlier in the year (before April 1st) that

That's a tidy premium for starting chicks early, isn't it?
Why don't you drop in or telephone your chick order now.
Put those early chicks on Chick Startena and get that
premtMfn return on the early fall egg market! We'll help
