2 No. 2 cans sliced beets
2 small onions, sliced
I cup sugar
1 cup vinegar
1 teaspoon caraway seeds
% teaspoon salt
% teaspoon pepper
Drain beets and reserve %
cup juice. Place beets and on-
ion rings in bowl. Combine re-
served beet juice, sugar, vine-
gar, caraway seeds. saM and
pepper and bring to a boil. Pour
over beets and onions. Cool.
Cover and refrigerate several
hours or overnight before us-
ing.
