Has Harrison Y. Kahtcndorf,
43, found God? Some observers say
yes. Mr. KaMendorf says no.
The circumstances are these:
Four months ago Mr. KaMendorf
was indifferent to reiigion. He was
a!so weary of worry, and hungry
for hope. One Sunday he "just hap-
pened" to go to Church . . .
The Christian Truth came to
Harrison Y. Kahiendorf as good
news . . . and it began to change
his life.
Today there is new happiness
in his homo, new warmth in his
friendships, new chaiienge in his
job. And eveiy day he is discover-
ing adventure, opportunity and
Messing he never dreamed of be-
fore.
Does a!) this mean that Harri-
son Y. Kahtcndorf has found God?
Some observers say yes. Taking
issue with them, Mr. Kahiendorf
to!d our reporter:
"It was 7 who had been hiding
... God found ME!"

THE CHURCH FOR ALL
ALL FOR THE CHURCH
The Church is the greatest factor on earth for
the bui!ding of character and good citizenship
It is a storehouse of spiritua! values. Without a
strong Church, neither democracy nor civilization
can survive. There are four sound reasons why
every person should attend services regularly and
support the Church. They are: (!) For his
own sa!te. (2) For his children's sake. (3) For
the sake of his community and nation. (4) For
the sake of the Church itself, which needs his
mora! and materia! support. Plan to go to
church regularly und read your Bible daily.

Rev. ROBERT n. nARPER
THOU AR? 7WP A^AN
npHE STORY of David's great
-1 sin sets in bold relief a
great king of ancient Israel a
scion of one of the oldest races
in the world—Uriah the Hittite, a
faithful and incorruptible retainer
of David, a bcautifu! woman—
Bathsheba, and Nathan—stem
prophet who couid rebuke a king
in his wickedness.
King David from his palace saw
Bathsheba bathing, desired her,
and sent messengers to bring her
into the palace. Then David, to
cover his sin, bade Uriah, who
had come to Jerusalem to report
to David news of the siege the
army was pressing against Kab-
bah to go td his house, declined
with the statement that it was
not proper for him to do so when
the soldiers of Israel were in the
Held.
Whereupon, David resolved to
do away with Uriah in a manner
that would make it appear that
ho was a normal casualty of war.
The King gave order that Uriah
should be placed in the "forefront
of the hottest battle" and to be
left alone to die before the walls
of Rabbah. And so was the bloody
deed carricd out.
Soon a visitor appeared in the
palace of David—Nathan the
prophet told David of a rich
man who had taken from a poor
man all that ho had. Then David
waxes strong in his wrath and as
from a pinnacle of virtue declared
that the rich man should die.
Then, as I have imagined, Nathan
took a step nearer the throne and
lifted a long accusing finger in
the face of the monarch, while he
solemnly declared, "Thou art the
man."
David repented bitterly and in
his anguish some believe he wrote
in Psalm 51, "Have mercy upon
me, O God, according to thy ten-
der mercies . . . Mot out my
transgressions.*
