ot the Loyal Women's Bible class
of the First Christian church was
held on Thursday afternoon at
three o'clock in the class room
at the church with. Mrs. William
Locke, president, in-charge.,.
The twenty - third Psalm was
read. in unison as the devotional.
A report by the sick and shut-in
committee was given and it was
decided that the class would buy
another bond to be applied to
the-church building fund.

Robison, Mrs. Uaniel Robechaud.
Mrs. Frances Harris. Mrs. A. M.
Watts, Mrs. W. A. Black. Mrs.

the low score prize.

tation patients intending an ori-
entation course. Discussion sub-
ject: "Why Russia Hasnt De-
clared War bn Japan."

an officer arrived with the news
that Russia had obliged.
The meeting was called to or-
der by Mrs. R. Lee Davis and
the opening prayer was offered
by Mrs. W. W. HarUo. Mrs. F.
C. Cady, secretary. read *he min-
utes of the previous meeting. The
brief business station was held
after which the district publica-
tion, . "The Beaumont District
Light" was read and discussed by
the society. Plans were made for
all thtf children's workers to at-
tend the Children's Workers'
Conference to be held August 28-
31 in Jacksonville.
The women of the society de-
cided to make work aprons for
the Girl's Cooperstive Home.
Mrs. Jack Harmon, gave the de-
votional from "The Upper
Mrs. H. B. Hatcher pre-
sented the sixth chapter
"Christianity and the Social Or-
der" by Bishop William -Temple
Mrs. F. C. Cady presented the
seventh chapter and Mrs. R. Lee
Davis summed up the study aid-
ed by the book, "Economia Plan
ning in the United States".
Mrs. B. H. Sandefer will be
hostess to the W. S. C. S. 'at the
next meeting which will be held

day morning at ten o'clock. Mrs.

ion held regular meetings this
week.
Circle One met on Tuesday
morning at nine o'clock at the
church with eight members in
attendance. Mrs. Sam Cooper
presided at the business session.
Mrs. W. H. Wallace led the de-
votional and also the missionary
program. The meeting closed
with chain prayer.
Circle Two met on Tuesday
morning at 9:30 o'clock in the
home of Mrs. E. W. Fulbright who
led the opening prayer. Mrs.' A.
D. Holland had charge of the mis-
sion study from "Resurrection of
the Body", and offered the clos-
ing prayer.
Circle Fouiynet on Tuesday
morning st 9!90 o'clock in the
home of Mrs. V. M. Chambers
with seven members and one vis-
itor present. The hostess led
the opening prsyer and presided.
