Rice's sixth biennial engineering
show closed Saturday night, after
breaking all previous records for at
tendance when It interested and en-
lightened some 13,000 visitors from
Houston and out of town.
There were 319 exhibits in charge
of about 315 students, and the over-
flowing crowds are a witness that the
show went over with a bang!
Kgerton S. Ilobh, a senior in me-
chanical engineering was the gen-
eral manager of the show, and his
executive ability won the praise of

At a committee meeting held yes-
terday in the Physics Amphitheatre
where the first half of row one was
packed to the limit, with furiously an.

the name of Nelson Russell was
voted the best all around athlete of

The meeting, filled with many
speeches, birdies, and over turned
over chairs, was speedily adjourned

The committee, which made the se-
lection and settled for some time a
long-standing problem, was composed
of Nelson Russell, acting chairman;

Mr. Samuel C. McCann, who has
been the Registrar of the Rice Insti-
