Tho Uailreti': Matter fSot tied.
We stated in onr hist issue that the
difficulties between the Texas Cen-
tral and M. K. & T., roads lmd been
amicably adjusted at the conference held
hero 1 -.i-;t week. Wo havo since learned
more particidarly tho nature of this agree-
ment and where tho junction between the
two roads will be at.
It was determined by tho parties rep-
resenting the two roads, that the junction
should bo made between them, about one
mi la from Cclben'a ferry, on v/hat is
known as tho third bank, -whio.il as the
road runs will be about J -v miles from the
railroad bridge across Bed river, and
about miles tronl what is now evk-d
Douison city. At this junction, it 'n-lof-
fmm the bridge, it was determined to
build the Union depots, general prssou-
ger and IVeightdcpots and machine shops,
etc. This piaoo will bo called Bed. .Uiver

drawn the enemy's most effective efforts
and deprived him of one-half his moral
power. Wc shall do bettor in November
