cates the use of iodide of starch as
an antidote for poisons in general,
and, ns it has 110 disagreeable
taste and is free from tho irritant
properties of iodine, it can be ad-
ministered in large doses; also,
without fear is all cases where
the poison is unknown. It will be
fonud very efficacious in poison-
ing by sulphureted- hydrogen gas,
tlio alkfilpfds and alkaline sul-
phides, ammonia, <an<I Specially by

insoluble compounds; and it uids
in tbe elimination of salts of lead

and tfevter, I ntermittent or Chill Fe-
ver, Remittent Fever, -Dumb Ague,
Periodical or Bilious Fever, aria all
malarial disorders. In miasmatic dis-
trict s,t lib rapid pulse, coated tongue,
thirst, lassitude,"loss of appetite, pain in
tbe back and loins, and coldness of the
spine and extremities, are only premoni-
tions of severer symptoms, which termi-
nate in the ague paroxysm, succeeded by
high fever and profuse perspiration.
It is a startling fact, that nuinine, arse-
nic and other poisonous minerals, form
tho basis of most of the " Fever and
Ague Propagations," "Specifics," "Syr-
uns," ana 41 Tonics," in the market.
■The preparations made from these min-
eral poisons, although thev are palatable,
and may break tbe chill, no not cure, but
leave tno malarial and their own drug
poison in the system, producing quinism,
dizziness, ringing in the ears, headacho,
vertigo, and other disorders more formi-
dable than the disease they were in-
tended to enre. Ayeh's Aoub Curb
thoroughly onulicatas these noxious poi-
sons from the system, and always cures
the severest, cases. It contains no
qui nine, mineral, or any thing that could
injure'the most 'delicate patient; and its
crowning excellence, above its certainty
to cure, is that it leaves the system as
free from disease as before tho attack.
For liver Complaints, Ayek's Ague

biliary apparatus, driver, put the poisons
which promttfe• these i-oin'plaints, and
stimulates the system to a vigorous,
healthy condition.
