The Kalgary Home Demonstra-
tion club met in the home of Mrs.
Elmer Havens for an all day meet-
ing on April 22. The club women
quilted a very pretty quilt.
Each lady carried a covered
dish, so at noon a covered dish
luncheon was served.
After noon a short club meeting
was held. Mrs. Swanner and Mrs
Aubrey Havens joined the club. A
"round-the-quilt" discussion - was
held on "cleaning and beautifying
the yard,", and also "How mv
yard looks to the passers-by."
The club had as a special visi-
tor, Mrs. Brandon, of the Canyon
Valley club. The next meeting will
be with Mrs. R. W. Self on May
6. It will be an all day meeting.

Demonstration club met for an
afternoon session with Mrs. C. T.
Justus Thursday, April 17. The
afternoon "was spent ^quilting a
quilt and" piecing blocks for a
quilt top.
The hostess served refreshments
of cocoa, coffee and cookies to the
following members and three vis-
itors, Mesdames C. B. Parker,
John L. Parker, B. G. McDuff, W.
O. Matthews, B. B. Steele, H. T.
Snider, Ralph Fowler, H. Fow-
ler, A. W, Pyron, J. ^rEdler, O.
J. Edler, Arthur Campbell, Jim
Campbell, F. M. Brixey, L. E.
Fowler and Bill Shipman. Mes-

Campbell and Allen Mize were the
visitors.

The pie supper which was spon-
sored by pur club April 16 was
real successful. A play, "Hie Scan-
dal", was presented by five club
members. Myrle Henexson and J.
W. Linsley entertained with sev-
eral musical numbers. Mrs. Joo
McDuff, Miss Lorinfe Hale, and
Miss Charlotte Ragland gave read-
ings. The club wishes to thank
each and everyone who helped in
any way.
"Improvement of- the Yard" was
the topic of the evening on April
16, when the club met with Mrs.
Lynn Johnson. Since Mrs. Joe E.
McDuff resigned as council dele-
gate, the club elected Mrs. James
A. Odom to take her place. TTie
next meeting will be May 7 in the
home of Mrs. Joe E. McDuff. Misa
Dixon is to bring a demonstration
on "New Furniture for Old."

daughter, of Fort Worth, were at
the bedside of Mrs. Cox's father
J. L. Marsh at the Lubbock Sani-
tarium Sunday.

the Lubbock Sanitarium last week,
underwent surgery Tuesday morn-
ing,

surgery at the Lubbock Sanitari-
um on Friday of last week and is
reported doing satisfactory. Bill
Nickson went over Monday and
gave blood for a transfusion for
Mr. Heard.
