ar I reland of Dim-
DIl) you ever look up the meaning
of the words "Price" and
We venture you'd be interested, even
surprised.
"Pricc" originally meant not money, not cash—
hut Reward, Praise, Worth. In the days of
Caesar they called it "Pretium."
"Cost" comes from the old Icelander word
"Koster," signifying to Choose, to l est, to
Prove.
So " Priee" is really the Worth of the thing sold.
"Cost' means how well the thing bought proves
up in ,'Ktual use.
So we're* n<.t so far off the- tr w k rod ay, for when you
htiy j .int, tfje Price of \l should be the m, i-ure of its

M ei urtd l y titi , poor paint costs far, l.ir more than
good paint; never worth the price t-ke<] an1 never
stands the te-t of wear.
There's one house paint made that's worth the prate
and stands the test, and that's HORSE SHOE
BRAND I lOl'SE PAIN T, — best lead, zinc, aged
linseed oil, japan, coloring matter and nothing else;
honest materials, honestly prepared, sold on honor.
Seven gallons of HORSE SHOE P A I \ I covers as
much surface as ten gallons of ordinary paint and
covers it longer.
