DATE-NUT TORTE-12 SERVINGS
3-4 cup flour
1 1-2 teaspoon baking powder
3 eggs
3-4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1-2 cup chopped nuts
1 1-2 packages of chopped dates.
Beat eggs well, add sugar and continue beating until
mixture is light. Add sifted flour and baking powder, fold
in nuts and dates and bake in slow oven for about 35
minutes.

CARROT SALAD-12 SERVINGS
1 medium can grated pineapple
6 carrots-grated
1 cup pecan meats, chopped
1 package lemon jello.
Drain juice off pineapple; add water to make pint;
bring to boiling point; add jello, stir until dissolved; remove
from fire and let stand until congealed, then add
pineapple, grated carrots and nut meats. Pour in molds.
Serve with mayonnaise dressing.
COCOANUT MACAROONS
1 can Eagle Brand Condensed Milk
1 pound shredded bulk cocoanut.
Mix condensed milk and cocoanut; make into small
balls, place on buttered cookie pan and bake for 40 minutes
in slow oven.
