ole Garrett, Kathryn Brinlee,
Gail Ellis and Bobbie Lowe are
going to sing, "Smoke Gets In

is Geraldine Kinley. Her favorite

(Not many people do), and ab-
ility to make good grades?" Her

The Sophomores had a meet-,
ing last Wednesday. We discuss

We decided to ask the Student
Association if we could have an
all day Sadie Hawkins party for
the whole student body. -
The president appointed com-
mittees to work on the party.
The committees are as follows:
games committee, refreshment
committee, decorations commit-
tee and an advertising commit^

Sorghums Will Be
Called March 31
Crosby county farmers who
have 1950 crop grain sorghums
under loan with the Commodity
Credit * Corporation should be.
prepared to meet ,the maturity
date of March 31, 1951, accord-
ing to B. F. Vance, State PMA
Committee chairman.
Vance says there has been
some talk thaf"the March 31 ma-
turity date might be extended.
Information received in the state
I'm sure all of the Sophomores PMA office this week from the
enjoyed the 1 lunch room last
week. Our lunch period lias been
cut to 30 minutes. We have an
activity period when all of the
clubs meet.
On Mondays the Student As-
sociation and Dramatic club
meets; Tuesday the Mary Beth
Club and F.F.A. boys meet; Wed-
nesday all classes have class
meetings; Thursdays Mrs, Low-
rie's Science Club meets, and
Fridays the "C" Club meets.

states that the maturity date
will not be extended.
Most of the grain sorghums
grown in the Nation are produc-
ed in Texas. Approximately 26,-
000 Texas growers have almost
40 million bushels of grain sor-
ghum under CCC loan. About 2
million bushels of this grain is.
in storage on the farms where
it was produced. The other 38
million bushels are in commer-
cial warehouses. a
