u-cts of shock from lightning
that killed his fishing compan-
ion Saturday night.
W. Frank Dameron, Sr.. 54,
owner of a Fort Worth auto
parts and service firm, was kill-
ed instantly while on a fishing
trip at Lake Texoma, north of
V\ tiitesboro.
Howard P. Sandidge, 71, was
knocked unconscious by the
bolt, and remained under treat-
ment of a physician today.
The two men were sittin on
cots alxjut three feet apart un-
der a tarpaulin during a slow
rain. Sandidge said when he re-
gained consciousness, iie saw
Dameron on the ground, his
clothing smouldering.
BROWNWOOD, Tex., May 8
(UP)—Henry Taubert of San
Antonio nosed out Darrell Wil-
son of Brownvvood to take top
money in the 16th annual
Brownwood regatta and jam-
boree here yesterday.
Some 15,000 persons attend-
the annual event held at Lake
Brownwood.
