advertise the first annual con

appear on the program of K. F.
D. M., the Magnolia Station
at Beaumont at 12:30 noon Frl
day, April 8th and again, from
9.00 to 9:30 P. M. from the

Station K. P. R. C. of the
broadcast a program by the
quartet Saturday evening,
April 9th from 9:00 to 9:30
P. M.
Station W. F. A. A. of the
Dallas News and Journal will
broadcast a program Sunday
afternoon. April 10th from 2:30
to 3:30. This hour is usually
occupied by the Farm News
and is in charge of Mr. Schof_
felmayer who kindly consented
to have the Cotto Belt Quartet
use his time on he air.
The final appearance of the
air in this section will be Mon-
day evening from 8:00 to 9:00
P. M., April 11th from station-
K. S. B. A. at Shreveport, La.
The Cotton Belt Quartet has
been heard from K. M, O. X.,
the'Voice of St. Louis, on sev«
eral programs, infact* they are
a regular feature of this sta-
tion. The quartet has just fin-
ished a tour embracing all the
larger Southern cities, and were
at the Waco Cotton Place and
bther of the larger State Fairs f
in Texas. These singers made
the initial trip with the Lone
Star, the new fast train be-
tween Memphis and Dallas,
which was inaugurated early in
Elaborate Plans
For County Wide
Graduation Saturday
The graduating exercises for
the County Wide Graduation
wi]I be held at Quitman on
April the 9th according to an-
nouncement from County Supt.
White. Arrangements have
been made to accomodate a
largfe crowd since all rural
schools in the county will have
their graduates in this large
class. Certificates of gradua-
tion will be of uniform design.
This is something new for
the rural schools of Wood
County and is considered by
the educational world as a for-
ward step in rasJng the stand-
ards of our rural schools.
Several interesting features
will mark the occasion. Among
these will be the graduating
address deivered by Dr. Geo
Winfield,, President of Loii
Morris College of Jacksonville
and another address by T. C
Richardson, Field Editor of
The Farm and Ranch. The
Mineola High School Orchestra
will furnish the music for the
event.
Following is a complete pro-
gram for this occasion.
