was 30,000 since the year 1900.

Notes On City Building
Find the weak point in your
oity then appy a remedy.
When oapital sees the smoke
pouring froth from many high
somkestacks he promptly pulls
out his bank roll.
If you wait until you see what
the other fellow is going to do,
you wont get anywhere.
If you cannot interest your
home people in the city, don't
expect outsiders to take notice.
Look after the little enterprises
the large ones usually look after
themselves.
It isn't always the skyscraper
that make the city, a factory
with a big pay roll will do twice
the good.
Be on friendly terms with your
competit or, even if you expect
him to steal a march on you the
next day.
To abuse an investor is to lose
him.
Be sure you have something
to talk about when you boost
your city.
Boosting and toasting are two
different things, but both may be
used to advantage in building a
city.

came unto him a great multitude

his competitors saw it they mar-
veled among themselves. How
be it that this man is so busy,
while we loaf around our doors?

active commercial club and has
elected those two live wires, Levi
Belew and F. A Wright, as presi-
dent and secretary. Justin has
a live commercial organization
so have Krum and Sanger and
Lewisville, and every other town
in the county ought to have one.
Then, by all working together
and forming a Denton county
Commercial club association they
could effect results that would
put in the shade any effort they
would be able to made individ-
ually. Denton county needs
more advertising of the sort that
has been paid for by the Denton
Camber of Commerce; it is the
proper thing that every commer-
cial organization should contrib-
ute to that expense fund.--Re-
cord and Chronicle.
