Near Whitehouse
The Whitehouse community,
eight miles southeast of Tyler,
in South Central Smith County,
Is again set for a wildcat with
O. L. Ross and associates of
Beaumont reported rigging up
Tuesday for a 4,500-foot hole.
The well is No. 1 C. H. Will-
ingham, spotted on a 64.5-acre
tract in the Jacob Herrin sur-
vey. It is on a block of 2,500
acres scattered through the
Herrin, Jesse Kincannon, John
F. Jordon, C. Dean and James
Walsh surveys.
Nearest production is about
six miles northeast at Chapel
Hill, where deep pay is found.
Associated with Ross are Geo.
Collingwood and Mrs. Etta Bai-
ley. H. A. Nelson of Port La-
vaca has the drilling contract.

Piano Play for Title
The Piano Wildcats and the
Mt. Pleasant Tigers will meet
Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock
at Mt. Pleasant to determine

Thursday while Mt. Pleasant
won a decision over Grand Sa-
line on 20-yard line penetra-
tions.

Pilgrimages will be made to Denton from points all over Texas
Sunday. Dec. 15, when Texas State College for Women's traditional
Christmas Pageant wili be presented twice for the general public,
at 4 and 8:15 p. m. The original dramatization of the Biblical story
of the Nativity was written by Dr. L. H. Hubbard, president of the
college, and annually draws some 7500 spectators. A special per-
formance will be given for students and faculty of the college Tues-
day evening, Dec. 17, at 8:15. Mary, Mothei of Christ, will be pla.ved
by Blake Gohlman of Houston, and Joseph by Barbara Townsen ! of
San Antonio.

Fort Worth, Dec. 12.—Cham-
pion travelers of the Texas
Christian University campus are
not the football players, al-
though they covered more than
7,000 miles in the season just
closed.
Champion travelers are the
ministerial students in Brite
College of the Bible. Thirty-five
of these student ministers trav-
el more than 7,000 miles every
month in filling fifty-one pul-
pits.
Among the Texas towns serv-
ed by TCU's "preacher boys"
are Ballinger, Big Sandy, Cam-
eron, Carrollton, Chico, Dallas,
Eddy, Fate, Fort Worth, Frisco.

Blaze Does Slight
Damage to Home
The home of Mr. and Mrs.
Jim Robinson, 208 Wigley
Street, was slightly damaged
shortly before noon Wednesday
when a fire broke out In the
living room. The blaze
put out by the fire departm^ft

The fire was said to have been
