AFTER THRIUING a crowd of 300 more than an hour by cavorting in
pajamas on an Oakland, Cal., veterans hospital window ledge, Stan
ley Bolton, 28, psychopathic patient, la yanked to safety by a hos-
pital attendant, Ray Nichols. Fire Battalion Chief Bernard Dooley
effected the rescue by calling to Bolton that he should telephone his
mother before leaping. "A good idea,' Bolton shouted back. He
