The Parent Teacher Association
met last Thursday afternoon in the
junior high school auditorium. Mrs.
Kay Sherman's pupils gave several
interesting numbers and Mrs. Ren-
abaw dscussed an article from "Hy-
geia" entitled "How Old is Ann So-
cially?"

Armistice Day will be a holiday in
the grammar and junior high school.

tion filed in said Court on the 22nd
day of October A. D. 1938, in a suit,
numbered on the docket of said
Court No. 13352, wherein J. C. Nor-
wood is Plaintiff, and Lucy Phillips,
Coy Phillips, Nettie Hudson and
James Mor.roe Hudson are Defend-
ants, and said petition alleging that:
Count One
On the 1st day of January, A. D.
1935, plaintiff was and still is the
owner in fee simple of the following
described premises situated in the
County of Cherokee, State of Texas:
Being a part of the William Kii-
lion Survey, Abs. No. 483 containing
140.5 acres more or less and being
the lands conveyed by Fannie Mc-
Fadden to J. C. Norwood by deed da-
ted October 28, J931, and which deed
is recorded in Vol. 153 on page 212,
deed records of Cherokee County,
Texas.
On said 1st day of January, A. D.,
1935, also, plaintiff was in possession
of such premises; and afterward on
4.he 2nd day of January 1935, the de-
fendants unlawfully entered upon
and dispossessed him of such premis-
es and withhold from his the posses-
sion thereof, to his damage in the
sum of $1,000.00.
The reasonable annual rental val-
ue of said premises is $100.00.
Count Two
That plaintiff and those under
whose title he holds clainn!.^ to own
the same has had and held peaceable,
continuous and adverse possession
under title and color of title from
and under the state of Texas, of the
lands and tenaments in Count One
hereof described, cultivating, using
and enjoying the same for more than
three years before the defendants en-
tered upon and dispossessed of him
of said lands and tenaments and be-
fore the commencement of this suit,
and this he is ready to verify, and
that by reason of said premises, he
became vested with the fee simple
title to said property.

That the plaintiff and those under
whose title he holds, claiming to be
true and lawful owner thereof, and
under deed and deeds duly registered,
have had and held peaceable, contin-
lands and tenaments above described,
in Albo cultivating, using and enjoying the

You are hereby commanded to sum-
mon J. D. Clabon by making publica-
tion of this Citation once in each
week for four successive weeks pre-
vious to the return day hereof, to
some newspaper published in your i
County, to appear at the next regular
term of the District Court of Chero-
kee County, to be holden at the Court
House thereof, in Rusk, on the First
Monday in January A. D. 1939, the
same being the 2nd day of January
A. D. 1939, then and there to answer
a petition filed in said Court on the
11th day of August A. D. 1938. in a
suit, numbered on the docket of said
Court No. 14280, wherein Armer
Clabon is Plaintiff, and J. D. Clabon
is Defendant, and said petition alleg-
ing that plaintiff and defendant
were legally married to each ctVix
October 1, 1898 and continued livs
together until October 5, 1923, wbw
defendant abandoned plaintiff and
has not contributed anything toward
plaintiff'3 support since said nban
donment. That there were no children
born to said wedlock and no property
acquired by plaintiff and defendant.
Wherefore, plaintiff prays the
Court that defendant be cited by pub-
