ed six extra points also.
Harlan Crawford passed more
than usual but had little success,
as the receivers were not up to
par on their catching. Philip Bur-
ton, however, did make some nice
catches. The Indian line would
not give very much, so the run-
ning plays were not working as
ilit;. hail been. All in all it was
a clean, hard-fought game from
start to finish.

Jacksonville Trips
The Rusk Eagles
Friday Night, 53-7
The Jacksonville Indians de-
feated the Rusk Eagles Friday
night by the score of 53-7. The
Indians used a crushing ground
attack and a very effective aerial
attack to show their success as
an A A school.
The two teams battled on even
terms for the first quarter. Early
in the second quarter, Pogget,
passed for a touchdown, and
Cones converted. Two more touch-
downs were made before the half
and the score stood 20-0.
After the half the Indians were
still steamed-up. They scored in
the other periods very frequently,
mostly on the passing of Dogget.
About midway in the last quart-
er James Swink went through the
center of the line to score Rusk'-
lone tally. Swink also kicked the
extra point.
Dogget was the big gun in the
Indian attack. He threw four
touchdown passes and ran one
over. Others who scored for Jack-
sonville were Cane, Newburn,
Ross, and McCarroll. Cone kick-1
