Never trifle with a cough. It is as safe
to trifle with a rattlesnake. Check the
early symptoms before they culminate In
chronic disease with "Hale's Honey of
Horehound and Tar." Check them did
we say? Annihilate them would have
been the proper term, for this peerless
medicine does its work thoroughly, leav-
ing not a vestige of pulmonary irritation
behind. Sold by druggists at 50c. and $1
per bottle, or six bottles, small, $a 50 and
large, $5. The large size being most econ-

According to the Galveston News
the unfprtunate George Burr, who
was lost in the balloon Pathfinder
with Wise, has a sister, Mrs. Hick-
lin, residing in Sherman. His moth-
er, Mrs. A. F. Burr, and another
sister, Mrs. M. W. Thomas, reside
in Galveston, and a brother, Lem

Immense beds of salt have been
discovered on the elm fork of Big
Wichita river about 75 miles west of
Clay county. Two wagons loaded
with 5000 pounds of this salt have
reached Henrietta, and was offered
at one cent and a half per pound.
This might prove a rich bonanza.
Wendell Phillips says that the
great men who created the republi-
can party are dead or have left it,
and only those whom the republi-
can party created, "the Hayeses, the
Blaines, the Shermans" and the like
are now running it for the sooils
thty can get out of it.
SHERMAN'S.
Prickly Ash Bitters
And Malarifuge,
THESE BITTERS wiil prevent con-
tracting of chills and all malarial dis-
eases if properly used, by invigorating the
liver, toning the stomach, and regulating
the bowels and kidneys. It is a prepara-
tion from such vegetable extracts of
which the Prickly Ash constitutes a lead-
ing part, that enters into the regular pre-
scription practice of all medical men,
among whom Dr. Sherman is justly
classed as the succestfu'. compounder af
ter an experimental practice of 30 years,
as a complete antidote to all influences
which, if not arrested in time, terminate
in chills and fever «ir other malarial dis-
eases.
Though pleasant to the taste, it is not a
beverage, (as the extracts are held in so-
lution in pure Holland gin only) because
of its cathartic properties, and is therefore
an infallible remedy for habitual constipa-
tion.
THE MALARIFUGE is a certain cure
lor chills when once contracted. It has
never failed to effect a cure where the di-
rec'ions, which accompany each bottle,
are followed.
Druggists are hereby authorized to re-
fund the money to any party purchasing
who claims a cure is not effected, provid-
ing the directions are followed and the
empty bottle returned. For sale by all
druggists. 6,7 'yqdwiy

\j It may not be generally known,
but it is nevertheless true, that the
bell punch law makes it obligatory
upon the person taking a drink at a
bar or in a saloon to sect that the
drind he takes is registered. The
law if carried out, makes the party
drinking liable to fine if he does not
see to it that the crank is turned.
